FLORAL GUERNSEY SUMMER FESTIVAL 2007

At the recent Floral Guernsey Summer Festival the Guernsey Growers Association held their Cut Flower and Foliage Vase Competition.  We entered four different varieties in the Alstroemeria Class and won three Gold Awards and one Silver Award.  The variety called 'Sacremento' was judged to be the best Alstroemeria in the class and this won us the F G Barker & Co Ltd Perpetual Trophy.
	All flowers that won 'Best in Class' awards where then put forward for the Graham Gorrod Perpetual Trophy and we were absolutely delighted to have it awarded to us.  We received the Trophy on the day but we were formally presented with it at the Guernsey Growers Association Annual Dinner.
In the summer of 2007 the West United Agricultural & Horticultural Show was held in the Parish of St Pierre du Bois on the west coast of Guernsey.  We entered four varieties of Alstroemeria in the  flower section and were delighted to win the H T J Ozanne Esq Trophy for the 'bext exhibit in the Cut Bloom classes'.
